Wannaburger wins the family vote
Edinburgh based Wannaburger Restaurants has won the accolade Scotland’s Best Family Friendly Restaurant at the recent Scottish Restaurant awards, held in Glasgow.
The gourmet burger restaurant beat off stiff competition from Glasgow restaurants to be crowned champion in the glittering event held in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery on January 27th.
Jon Clemence, Owner of Wannaburger, said: “We were delighted to simply be shortlisted as finalists and to win is a great achievement, especially given the caliber of the other nominees. Wannaburger is still in it’s infancy and we’re committed to creating a friendly ambience while serving top quality products that keep families coming back for more.

A new arrival!
Wannaburger’s newest arrival – Maisie. It’s pureed cheeseburgers all round to celebrate her safe arrival. Archie and Freddie are thrilled and looking forward to sharing their onion rings with her soon.

Partner in crime
In October Archie and Freddie will have a new partner in crime to assist in the regular destruction of Wannaburger on a Saturday afternoon. Archie (3) is a keen Chef and when not relaxing over a burger in Queensferry Street can probably be found at home slaving over the stove or perfecting his chocolate brownie recipe. Freddie (1) prefers to relax in his armchair and is currently philosophising over the possibility of having a sister – urgh!
A new arrival
Ops Manager Phil and his partner Pam have had their second baby. Named after Phil’s favourite dinner (he wanted to call him Beef Curry), Angus arrived weighing in at a hefty (sorry Pam) 9lbs 2oz and is very cute.
